Till Freyling

Till studied law at the universities of Münster and Munich. During his studies, he clerked for several years at the Chair of Roman Legal History of Prof. Dr. Martin Schermaier. He completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court (OLG) in Düsseldorf, including stations in the Düsseldorf and Moscow offices of a major international law firm.

Till was admitted to the bar in 2008. Before joining LLR's Cologne office in 2010, he practiced as a lawyer in the M&A department of an international Magic Circle law firm.

Till mainly advises on complex projects in the areas of corporate law and financing.

Regarding transactions, Till advises regarding M&A processes and public takeover bids pursuant to WpÜG, as well as on corporate structure measure (such as mergers and change of legal form).

In the area of corporate finance, Till consults companies in accessing the capital market (whether as part of an IPO or listing of existing capital), with the public offering of shares or bonds, the underlying capital measures and the change of stock exchange segments. Till's consulting services range structuring the transaction and performing the due diligence to the preparation and approval of securities and investment prospectuses to subsequent support with the requirements of being publicly listed.

Till also specialises in advising pension funds, pension funds and supplementary pension funds on the feasibility of acquiring target investments, and provides support in setting up small-scale AIFs.

Till is fluent in English and French and has basic knowledge of Spanish and Russian.

Till regularly publishes in legal journals and practical publications. He teaches corporate law at the state-approved Fresenius University of Applied Sciences.

When Till is not working, he enjoys reading (and cultivating a somewhat unhealthy obsession with the cultural discourse of the 1920s), sailing, long distance running, dancing salsa with his wife, using Oxford commata, and waiting if somebody actually reads this.
