ABOUT THE PERSON

Peter Karmann studied law at Heidelberg University, including an extended visit abroad to Charles University in Prague/Czech Republic. He was admitted to the bar in 2000. After working for various international law firms, he most recently worked in commercial law, corporate law and dispute resolution in the legal division of one of the Big Four auditing firms. In May 2025 he joined LLR as an Associated Partner.

 Peter Karmann advises domestic and foreign clients comprehensively in the field of corporate law, with a focus on partnerships and limited liability companies. In particular, he assists companies and shareholders in dispute resolution and strategic corporate planning. The latter includes succession planning, restructuring (including conversion) and cross-border transactions (in particular acquisitions and disposals as well as transfers of seats to and from foreign countries). He also advises non-profit organisations, in particular on their reorganisation.

 In the field of national and international commercial law, he provides comprehensive support to domestic and foreign clients in the legal structuring of contractual relationships in supply chains and project contracts, particularly in cross-border matters. Another focus of his practice is supply chain compliance and product compliance.

 In collaboration with his colleagues from LLR’s IP/IT team, he supports domestic and foreign companies in internal legal operations, contract management (contract lifecycle management) and the introduction of digital solutions (LegalTech).

 Peter Karmann spends his leisure time with his wife and daughter and is passionate about horse riding and horse breeding.
