Valerie Depireux studied law at the University of Cologne. After successfully completing her first state examination in 2022, she undertook her legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Cologne, including placements at the Cologne Public Prosecutor’s Office as well as at a boutique law firm specialising in media law. She spent her elective traineeship with LLR in the IP team.

After passing her second state examination, she joined LLR’s Cologne office in May 2025.

She provides comprehensive advice in all areas of intellectual property law as well as media law. A particular focus of her work lies on the extrajudicial and judicial enforcement of intellectual property rights, especially in the areas of trademark, design and competition law.

When Valerie Depireux is not working, she spends time with her family and friends, enjoys cooking and baking, or goes horseback riding in the Bergisches Land region, her home region.
