Jochen Dütemeyer studied law at the Universities of Freiburg and Bonn. After being admitted to the bar in 1979, Jochen Dütemeyer was initially a partner in a law firm in Cologne on the right bank of the Rhine for 15 years before founding his own law firm specialising in employment law in Cologne-Rath in 1996. From here he moved to LLR in 2018. Jochen Dütemeyer has been a specialist lawyer for labour law since 1988. In 2006, he successfully completed the specialist lawyer course in medical law at the Cologne Bar Association.

Jochen Dütemeyer advises employers as well as employees on all labour law issues and represents them up to the Federal Labour Court. His clients include media companies, medium-sized production companies and service companies, hospitals and other charitable organisations throughout Germany, including those run by churches, as well as board members and managing directors.

When Jochen Dütemeyer is not working, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf and is interested in classical music and art.
