Laura-Sophie Walter studied law at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, where she also earned a certificate in "Anglo-American and International Legal Studies" under Prof. Byrd. After successfully passing the first state examination, she completed her legal clerkship and also successfully passed the second state examination.

After her admission to the bar in 2016, Laura-Sophie Walter initially worked in a boutique law firm in Cologne specializing in IT and data protection law as well as in a law firm in Erfurt in the area of contract law before joining LLR's Cologne office in 2019.

Laura-Sophie Walter is Specialist Lawyer for Information Technology Law and certified as a data protection officer by TÜV Rheinland.

Laura-Sophie Walter advises and represents national and international clients in the areas of information technology and digitalization. One focus of her work is the drafting and negotiation of IT contracts as well as the legal support of IT outsourcing and IT projects. The core area of her practice is consulting in the field of digital, data-driven business models and agile methods. Her field of activity is extended by advising and representing her clients in data protection issues. Her activities include the drafting and negotiation of contracts, the development of custom-fit GTCs, the preparation of expert opinions, legal advice, and the representation of interests in and out of court.

In addition, Laura-Sophie Walter is a lecturer on legal issues of digitization at the Faculty of Economics and Law at the TH Köln. She also regularly publishes specialist articles in the subject areas she works on and contributes to specialist legal publications.

Laura-Sophie Walter is involved in the German Women Lawyers Association and nushu - Female Business. In the Cologne Bar Association, she has been a member of the Information Technology Law Committee since 2022.

When Laura-Sophie Walter is not working, she enjoys spending time with her dog, meeting with family and friends, or traveling to countries near and far.
